The World Expo is one of the longest running and largest events on the planet, taking place once every five years. This incredible showcase is where ground-breaking innovations such as the washing machine, television, and mobile phones were first introduced to the world. In 2020 this amazing event will be coming to Dubai and will be the largest event ever held in the Arab world, with 192 countries exhibiting and over 25 million visitors expected.

In 2021 the World Expo exhibitors will be focusing on the following three themes:

Opportunity: Showcasing ideas on creating real change in order to further human development and create a better world.

Mobility: Dedicated to the movement of goods, people, ideas, and data, and how that will help us leap forward into the future.

Sustainability: A concerted effort to find the most sustainable solutions to energy and resource consumption, that will help preserve the planet.

USA Pavilion highlights

America is the catalyst for change, our future is better when we work together

Freedom enables creativity, innovation, and opportunity.

Over 6 million visitors are expected to this pavilion, promoting a vision of American enterprise. Whatever your interest is business, leisure or the future, there is something for everyone.

 Explore the USA pavilion via a moving walkway: Mobility in action

Guests will be taken on a journey through the first three major exhibits via a moving walkway that meanders through the pavilion. This high-capacity transportation system provides a unique experience that provides good access for all ages and abilities.

 Main Show: The Sky is no longer the limit

The show ties the exhibit narratives together, echoing their messages in an unprecedented way. This is an experience that touches on the biggest and boldest of ideas and presents the very cutting edge of what’s possible but, at its core, is human.

 The Courtyard

Visitors will be able to experience American food and culture in the pavilion’s courtyard that will feature live entertainment throughout the day.

Many modern-day conveniences, treats, and experiences can be traced back to World Expos that took place in the United States. Some of these include: - 1893 Chicago World’s Fair: Electricity, the Ferris Wheel and Zipper - 1901 Buffalo Pan-American Exposition: The X-Ray Machine - 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair: The Ice Cream Cone and Hot Dog - 1939 New York World’s Fair: The Television Set.

Daily Parade (Normally 12.45pm)

Each day, the "Colors of the World" Parade will treat audiences to a unique cultural fusion experience. A vibrant, colorful moving celebration featuring international participants, performers and musicians that radiates energy and brings a blast of fun.     Time of the daily parade may vary, please check on the Expo website for your preferred date.

Day 1: Dubai

Upon arrival at Dubai International Airport, you will be met and assisted by one of our local operators and then provided with a private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to unwind from your travels or begin your explorations of Dubai and the World Expo in your own time.

Day 2: Dubai (B,D)

Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up for a shared Dubai City Tour. Within less than 30 years this city was transformed from a small fishing village by the Dubai creek to one of the most important cities in the Gulf region. Discover the marvels of this city oasis which includes the Burj Khalifa, the 828m high building which is the tallest in the world.

Following a break for lunch (own expense) you will be picked up mid-afternoon depart for a desert safari to the golden dunes. Drive up to one of the highest sand dunes to admire an unforgettable sunset. Continue to a Bedouin camp for an evening BBQ and oriental entertainment followed by tea. Return to your Dubai hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Dubai (B)

Begin your day on top of the world with a trip to the 125th or 148th floor outdoor observatory and lounge on the Burj Khalifa. The remainder of the day is set aside for exploring the World Expo as you see fit (3 day entry ticket included). With 15+ hours of entertainment each day, and a host of marvels on display, there will be experiences here to suit everyone. Over 200 food and beverage suppliers from around the world will also be in attendance, so there will be no excuse to go hungry!

Day 4: Dubai (B)

A full day at leisure to continue exploring the fascinating pavilions and experiences at the World Expo, or to take an optional tour or activity.

Day 5: Dubai (B)

Following breakfast at your hotel, you will transferred from your hotel to Dubai International Airport for your onward flight.

Arrival transfer
If you have booked an arrival transfer in Dubai: to locate the representative after your disembarkation walk through immigration to the arrival hall exit. As the arrival hall opens up, look for a sign with your name or your hotel name on it. Please note that your driver will usually wait up to 90 minutes from the time your flight has landed. If for any reason you have been delayed at the luggage delivery or during the customs process and if you cannot see the rep, please telephone our local representative on the office numbers (or the afterhours mobile) listed. Our local representatives speak good English and will be happy to assist you. There are free telephones available at the arrival hall for you to do so.

Not all hotels serve alcohol – The majority of properties featured in the brochure DO serve alcohol or are nearby properties or restaurants where drinks are available.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan Muslims fast, abstaining from eating, drinking & smoking during daylight hours (approx. 7am-6.30pm). As a sign of respect, tourists should also try to refrain from these activities in public during the fasting hours. In 2022, Ramadan should begin around 01 April . After 30 days, or on sighting the full moon, Eid Al Fitr is celebrated & most public and private institutions close for at least three days. During this period hotels may not serve alcohol during daylight hours or at all. Entertainment such as belly dancing may also not be available over this period in particular on the Desert Safari.

Tourism Dirham tax
A fee will be charged on all stays at hotel establishments in Dubai. This fee, called “Tourism Dirham” will be collected at check out by the hotel and will be charged on a per bedroom, per stay basis. The fee varies according to the hotel category as following:  

  • Five-star or higher-rated hotel or hotel apartment: 20 UAE Dirhams per room per night
  • Four-star hotel or hotel apartment:: 15 UAE Dirhams per room per night
  • Three-star hotel or hotel apartment: 10 UAE Dirhams per room per night

This tax is payable locally and directly to the hotel and is not included in our price.
